It has been long time since I wrote my blog last.
How are you doing?
Now I go to Aoyama campus and enjoy my campus life.
soon the test will begin so I must study for the exam...
I will take a part in the ballet performance in this summer.
I am now practicing for it.
The performance is 'The Nutcracker' and 'The joy of Paris'.
I will dance of Spain with my sister. How funny it is!
However, this performance may be the last stage for me, so i will do my best!

An audition
Hi, everyone!
How are you doing? I write this blog after so long time.
Yesterday, I auditioned for the ballet performance.
I have practiced ballet in Matsuyama ballet school. Do you know the school?
That is one of Japanese ballet school. A famous Japanese dancer, Yoko Morishita belongs to it. The school holds a performance made by students a year. I have wanted to take a part in the performance, so I decided to audition for it.
When I went to the hall, there were many students. I went there with my sister and her friend. I had little hope to pass the test, but the feeling that i don't want to regret made me go there.
Around me, all other students looked so thin and mature. I felt i was out of place, but I couldn't escape or retire, so i decided to do my best and enjoy dancing.
After warm up lesson, coreograph began and i remembered the coreograph.
There were many teachers in front of us and tested us with serious faces.
Though other students danced very well, but i did my best.
No matter how the result will be, I think it is good for me to audition for the performance, because it was great experience for me.

For Valentine's day
Yesterday, I made a chocolate banana pound cake for Valentine's day.
I don't have boyfriend, but I wanted to make sweets.
It took about one and a half hour to make it. My sister also made some sweets with me.
I was worried if I could cook it well, but my grandparents said,"It's nice", so I was glad.
Actually, I have a person who I want to give this, but I can't. So I am sad...:-(
Making sweets is fun, so i would like to cook again.

Ski
Hi. i write diary after a long time.
From 4th to 8th Febulaury, I went skiing in Nigata.
At first, i decided to go there along, so I was worried. But everyone was kind and i made friends.
I am not so good at skiing but other people skied very well. i was surprised.
My coach was kind and interesting, so I could learn skiing enjoying.
The food was really nice!
At night,we played cards.
The days were really enjoyable. I had very nice time there.
I would like to go skiing again!

Parfait
Good evening★
Today, I studied English linguistics outline which is difficult for me.
I want someone to teach the subject... I cannnot understand some sentences. I am in trouble because the sentences might be asked their meanings... Oh my god!!X-(
After that, I went to the lesson. After that, I went home with my sister.
On the way home, we went to Denny's Restaurant where we had dinner. My sister will take a part in the ballet performance in Feburaury, so she didn't eat so much.
We ate a pumpkin parfait together. It's so delicious! But I will be fat!!
I must excercise！！

A cool actor
Today, I stayed home all day.
I was bored...
I watched "Orange days" on TV.
The main music of this drama is "Sign" sung by Mr,children. I love the song.
Let's listen to this!
How about it? I like this music and lyrics.
After that, I watched a drama,"Mei chan no shitsuji". In the proglam, Hiro Mizushima took a role.
He was soooo cool! I can't wait until next time.
Anyway, thank you everybody.
I was at first very worried about this IE class, becuase I didn't know anyone in this class.
However, thanks to your kindness and friendliness, I really enjoyed this course.

Book report
"Animal Farm"
1) Orwell George, Animal Farm, Edinburgh Gate: Pearson Education Limited, 119pages, 1945.
2) RESPONDING TO THE PLOT:
a) If I was Napoleon in the story, I would have worked as hard as other animals, because all of animals should have been equal to achieve the purpose.
b) If I was the author, I would not kill Boxer, a hard working horse, because it was too pity for him to be killed in spite of his kind and earnest character.
c) Boxer said, “Napoleon is always right” (34page) in the situation that some animals had doubt about revolution. I chose this quotation because this statement expressed Boxer’s loyalty to Napoleon very well.
3) ANALYZING 7 LITERARY TERMS
1. Setting: England in the 19th Century
2. Point of View: This story is told from omniscient.
3. Conflict: Animals are in conflict with human. Animals chased off their master, Jones who treated them badly and tried to create their own farm.
4. Climax: At first, animals dreamed of their free and improved farm in which all of animals are equal. However, the commandments gradually disappeared and finally, the trial failed to be same as when Jones was a master.
5. Symbol: The symbol of this story is 7 commandments, because they express the will of animals and how their will changes.
6. Irony: Irony of this story is that animals tried to create their own farm in which all were equal at first, but gradually the aim disappeared, and finally the farm became a stratified society which was same as before the revolution.
7. Theme: The theme of this story is that when try to make the society in which all are equal, if there is someone who are better than others, then it becomes to a stratified society.
4) REFLECTING ON THE STORY
a) I found it interesting that animals tried to create a new society by themselves. They didn’t need human’s help. I was also surprised that a pig, Napoleon, could control other animals and had lots of knowledge like human about how to manage a farm. I thought he was very clever as a pig.
b) The character’s life is different from mine. The animals in the “Animal farm” must work very hard, but I don’t have to work so hard because I am a student.
c) The environment of this story is different from my own country. The environment of this story is a republic, while my country, Japan, is democratic society.
d) If the book has been made into a film, I would compare the image which I had got from the book.
e) I think he wanted to criticize the revolution which occurred in Russia.
f) I agree with the author’s view of people and life. Because I think people tend to want to be better than others and the top of the country tend to abuse his position.
g) What I learned from this story is that if someone has the advantage over the others, then the republic collapses
h) Before I read this book, I didn’t know about the republic society so much. However, after I read this, I knew about it better.
i) I thought Boxer would not be killed because he was very honest and showed loyalty to Napoleon. However, he was actually sold to the knackers by Napoleon. When I read this, I was really shocked and got angry with Napoleon. I thought Napoleon had a very cold heart.

Classical Ballet and Nihon-Buyo
Now, there are a lot of kinds of dances in the world. In the dances, there are two different types of dances: Classical ballet and Nihon Buyo. Classical ballet was originated in Italy, while Nihon Buyo was originated in Japan. There many differences between the two dance.
Classical ballet emerged in late 15 century Renaissance court of Italy as a dance interpretation of fencing, and further developed in the French court from the time of Louis XIV in the 17th century. This is reflected in Denmark and Russia. It was from Russia that it returned to Western Europe and subsequently the globe. The ballet successors were particularly injluential during this period. It has continued to draw on and be enriched by folk dance and local dance traditions. In the 20th century, ballet has continued to develop and has had a strong influence on broader dance.
Nihon Buyo is Japanese translation of “Japanese dance”. Nihon Buyo is established as one of dance genre in Japan and it is not general term for Japanese dance such as bon-dance or folk dance. It is said that Shoyo Tsubouchi created the word ”Buyo” by putting together “Mai” of West Japan and “Odori” of East Japan in Meiji era. Nihon Buyo has 3pillars. “Kabuki Buyo” (Buyo for Kabuki), and “Shinsaku and Sosaku Buyo” (new and creative Buyo), and “Goshugi Buyo” (Buyo for celebration)/ It adopts style of the times and keeps changing itself being inherited to the next generation.
One similarity between classical ballet and Nihon Buyo is that both dances have started in 17th century. While classical ballet was created in Louis XIV period, Nihon Buyo was created in Tokugawa period. Another similarity is that both dances were especially a female dancer, though now it has become common to call all dancers “ballet dancer”. On the other hand, a dancer who dances Nihon Buyo is called “Maiko”. Another similarity is that both dances are the performing arts. Both dances are performed on the stage and have audience.
There are also differences between them. Both dances have their own rules and established techniques. To be a ballerina, it has a lot of times and practices, but for Nihon Buyo, if you practice it for about three years, you may have an instructor license.
The two dances are different in their styles. Classic dancer dances with her/his toes turned out, while Maiko dances with her toes pointed inward. It is very obvious difference. Yesterday, I had only the 3rd class.
After that, I went to my friend's house.
She had two weasels. They are very cute!!
I played with them. One of the weasels bit my sox, so I felt a little pain.
I also met her sister and talked a little. I had makeup put on by her.
I often wear natural makeup, but after finished, when I watched a mirror, my face was a little heaver.
After that, I went to Shinjuku and watched a movie, "WALL・E".
Have you ever seen that movie?
That is a Disney movie.
For some beginning minutes, I fels a little bored, because there were little conversation. However, after the movie finished, I was impressed.
If you haven't watched it, I recommend you to watch it.
Then, I went to a game center and played "Taiko no Tatsujin". Do you know the game?
I really like it. We beat a drum with drumsticks with music. It is really fun!!
We played it with two musics: Sakuranbo and Nakanaide.
We played a shooting game. I don't like horror or violent game, so I was unwilling to do that. We shot monsters who appeared on the screen. The game was so horrible. I don't want to do that again:-( (But my friend looked enjoying.)
Anyway, I must stury for examination!!

The coming-of-age celebration
In the morning, I went to a Kimono shop and maked up and weared Kimono.
After that, I returned my home and took pictures with my family and relatives. My grandparents and cousins came to my house to take pictures with me, so I was really glad.
When I went out, my teacher who taught me when I was the in the first grade got across, so I took a picture with him. What a coincidence! I went to meet my piano teacher. I met her after long time, so I was happy to meet her and show my Kimono.
The coming-of-age celeberation was held at Yokohama arena. I went there with my friends. Their Kimonos were so pretty!
The celebration was about thirty minutes. I supposed to meet some of my old friends, but I didn't meet them. I was a little sad and disappointed...
After the celebration, I went to Yokohama and talked with my friends. Then, we took a print club and parted from each other.

Birthday
Today, I did a part time job at a cram school.
Then, i went to Machida to buy a birthday present for my sister, becauase today is my sister's birthday.
I heard that she had wanted a pouch, but I could not find good one. So, I bought pierces.
I met her and my father at Ito-Yokado and bought an ice cake at 31 ice cream shop.
Dinner was special! My grandmother made Sekihan. It was very delicious.
After dinner, we ate birthday cake. Before eat, we sang "Happy birtday to you" together.
The cake was decolated beautifuly and on it was snoopy's figure. It was so pretty!
I ate the ice cake at first time today. It was nice, but too sweet.
Tomorrow, the school and test term will begin, so I must make an effort on studying!!

Happy New Year
Hi! Happy New Year!!
I haven't written blog for long time because my PC has been out of work.
However, I got a new PC for cheap price in a sale.
How do you do? Are you enjoying Syogatsu?
On 1st January, I went to my grandparents' house with my family, where my relatives gathered. We had lunch together. It has been a year since we met last. My older cousin came there with his girlfriend. We talked to each other.
I went to a shrine near my grandparents' house with my brother,sister,two cousins and his girlfriend.
After we had dinner, I went to Karaoke with my brother and cousin. We sang for two hours. It was the first time for me to go to Karaoke with my cousin, but I had very good time.
I am twenty years old, but I got money from relatives. How happy I am! I must save it.
